Certificate in Church Planting

Welcome to the Certificate in Church Planting! In the ever-changing world around us, church leaders must be able to analyze and adapt to increasingly multicultural, secular, and global contexts.  Designed for church planters and their teams, the Certificate in Church Planting seeks to help others join in God’s mission by offering affordable and non-residential training that enables you to learn while remaining in your current ministry.

Experiential learning is central to every Certificate offered through Asbury Theological Seminary.  We offer a variety of different Certificates in Church Planting on topics such as missional leadership, multiethnic leadership and contexts, discipleship development, contextual churches, and more.  Our five topical modules include:

  • Exploring the Call of Missional Leaders
  • Introduction to New Contextual Churches
  • Understanding Context
  • Developing and Multiplying Disciples
  • Engaging the World
